retail therapy on a budget - american apparel circle scarf
retail therapy can be beneficial if you don’t spend so much that you experience deep regret the morning after. i have found that spending $30 or less typically does the trick and does not make you feel any remorse. the real secret is to stretch that $30 as far as possible - accessories, jewelry, cosmetics, or crazy sales.
my most recent purchase was from american apparel, a store whose window displays i usually laugh at while walking past every day on the way to work. however, the circle scarf viewable in the entry way definitely caught my eye (i’m a sucker for scarves). the circle scarf is incredible because a) it comes in over 70 colors and patterns, b) you can wear it 12 different ways (as a dress??), c) its super comfortable and d) it’s only $28. see the striped version i bought above (even for dudes apparently).
